Volunteer Eligibility:

Must be 18 and over

Must be away from your sexually abusive / human trafficking environment for at least 1 year.

Be prepared to work with women and girls with diverse backgrounds, and religious beliefs.

Understand and support the mission and vision of Healing Scars organization.

Available Positions
Social Media Specialist
The Social Media Specialist works closely with the Executive Director to ensure that the message of Healing Scars organization is consistent across the various platforms.
- Must have experience working with diverse social media platforms and be able to attend our monthly meeting.
- Must be available to volunteer between 5-10 hours per week.
Web Designer
The Web Designer volunteer will update and maintain our website as needed. Our website is a representation of our brand and therefore this role is vital to our organizational flow. Our organizational partners and survivors regularly check our website to gain new insight and information on services and support.
- Must have prior knowledge and experience with web design and graphics layout.
- Must be flexible and willing to make changes to website as needed.
- Must be available to attend our monthly meeting.
Local & National Community Liaison
Our Local & National Community Liaison volunteer is tasked with implementing collaborative efforts within the community and throughout the state. This volunteer role will also work with diverse communities to bring support to survivors that has endured sexual abuse and human trafficking.
- Marketing and Communications experience is highly recommended.
- Must be tenacious with a passion to engage in conversations with local and national trailblazers about Healing Scars and our mission and vision and why we do what we do every day.
- Must be available to attend our monthly meeting.
General Services
General Services includes but not limited to computer literacy, financial and money management, training facilitators and general care.
- Must be able to attend our monthly meeting.
- Must be available to volunteer between 5-10 hours per week.
